Bitmon is a creature-breeding RPG in development at Moji Studios (2026): raise, breed, and battle 240+ hand-pixeled creatures, each with its own personality, lineage, and genetics — with online trading planned. Development is progressing very well — the first live development screenshots are below. No release date, platform, or price has been announced yet.
Development updates 📓
Bitmon development is going very well! The creature systems are alive and kicking in our internal build — egg hatching, personality generation, care and training, and cozy village life are all playable today. Below are the first live development screenshots: a mysterious egg ready to crack, a freshly hatched ✨shiny✨ Bitmon named Omnia (vibe: The Gremlin — quirks include "knocks things off shelves; suspicious of brooms"), and daily life in the valley.
Every Bitmon really does hatch with its own personality, stats, quirks, and potential — no two journeys start the same. More to share soon; it's hatching season at the studio. 🥚

What is Bitmon?
Bitmon is a creature-breeding RPG in development at Moji Studios, an indie studio (est. 2026) dedicated to the early-2000s gaming era. The pitch is simple: raise, breed, and battle 240+ hand-pixeled creatures — trade online, train at home, and watch your party grow across generations.
Like everything from the studio, the creatures are hand-pixeled in an early-2000s retro style. Bitmon sits alongside MojiWorld (the studio's main game, headed to Steam) and Chubby Bird (a free browser game you can play right now).
The genetics & breeding system
What sets Bitmon apart from a straight creature collector is the breeding layer. Three things are confirmed about how it works:
- Every Bitmon has a personality — they're individuals, not interchangeable copies of a species.
- Every Bitmon has a lineage — a genetics system ties each creature to its parents, and your party grows across generations as you breed.
- Online trading — trading creatures with other players is a planned feature.
Bitmon is the "raise and breed" half of the Moji Studios lineup: 240+ hand-pixeled species, each with a personality, a lineage, and a future. Deeper mechanical details — battle systems, stats, how genetics combine — haven't been detailed publicly yet.
The studio has shared two trailers so far: a pixel trailer (above, bitmon-promo.mp4) and a 3D trailer.
Release status: no date yet — here's the honest answer
As of August 17, 2026, Bitmon has no announced release date, no announced platform, and no announced price — but development is progressing very well, and the first live development screenshots are now public. We'd rather share real progress than invent a window.
